Muneerah Warner – Entrepreneur

Afro Puffs and Ponytails present Muneerah Warner – an African American Licensed Funeral Director, Magazine Publisher, and Youth Leader from Philadelphia, PA.

As a child I grew up with a load on my shoulders. Family life wasn’t easy, school wasn’t easy and neither was making friends. These issues lasted well into my teenage and young adult years. Deciding when I was just 14 years old and in high school that I wanted to be a funeral director set me apart from the crowd even more. I lost even more friends because they didn’t like my decision. But I keep pressing on knowing that there was a brighter future for me, better that the life I had been living. I struggled through high school and college but thank God I made it through.

After graduating from college I opened my dream business, a funeral home. I simply wanted to help hurting hearts. Who knew that six years later I would be a magazine publisher. Now not only was I able to help hurting hearts in Philadelphia but around the world. I cant wait for my next dream to be realized.

In addition to my dedication to the funeral service industry I am also a youth leader. My advice to that young lady who may be reading this is … I Know you may be small for now but one day you may rule the world, I know things don’t seem clear at the moment but in due time you will see the light. I also know that when you stay focused on your goals expect the unexpected because you will receive a great reward. Press On….

In Prosperity,

Muneerah N. Warner
